Today we watched a little of Midsummer Summer Night's Dream. We talked about colons and their use. We took vocabulary 20 quiz. Students received a worksheet on colons.

Today we started with some reading of Midsummer Night's Dream. We did a summary of the play so far and the students learned a bit of note taking. We went over our vocabulary 20 in preparation for a quiz next class. Students made flashcards for the quiz next class. We also did a little bit of comma work online.
Homework: Study vocabulary 20 and complete flashcards. Make sure comparison contrast paper is complete. Vocabulary quiz 20 is next class.

Today we talked about commas and collected papers. Students spent time editing papers and that seemed to go well! We also went over vocabulary and students have a quiz next time. We also read a section of Midsummer Night's Dream.

Today students finished typing their comparison contrast papers and printed them. We spent a long time talking/learning about Midsummer Night's Dream. Students did some reading of the play too. The students received some comma homework.

Today students handed in a comma worksheet. Students learned a little of how the ACT looks for the grammar section. Students typed up some/all of their comparison/contrast papers. Students also received a vocabulary 19 worksheet.

Today is an A day and students were welcomed back with stories of Spring Break. Mr. Annen had double hernia surgery so I'm going to stay seated in the classroom for a few days:)
We then collected vocabulary 18 homework and talked about book reading. The students have a sheet that parents should read aboout a reading project.
The students had comma worksheets assigned as homework. They students also have a vocab quiz next class.
